Karingani
A Conservation Landscape of Global Significance
In a remote corner of southern Mozambique, along the border of South Africa’s Kruger National Park, lies one of Africa’s most ambitious conservation efforts — Karingani. Spanning over 150,000 hectares of wilderness, Karingani is more than a reserve. It is a living landscape. A place where ecosystems are restored, species are rewilded, and communities are empowered through meaningful, long-term partnerships.
Karingani sits within the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area, a vast, cross-border initiative that connects Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe in one of the world’s most important biodiversity corridors. Here, conservation is approached at scale, not as isolated projects, but as integrated systems that support both wildlife and people.
At the heart of Karingani’s work is a belief in sustainability rooted in science and community
Ecological Restoration
Species Reintroduction and Protection
Community Engagement
Transboundary Conservation
Every hectare protected at Karingani is a statement of possibility, that African conservation can be driven locally, managed with precision, and scaled with ambition.
A Shared Ethos:
As a headline sponsor of the Supercar Rhino Run 2025, Karingani brings this same ethos of
collaboration and care into a new space, supporting an initiative dedicated to raising awareness and resources for rhino orphans in South Africa.
While the landscapes may differ, the underlying principle remains the same: conservation is not a passive hope. It is a conscious, active choice to protect the world we wish to leave behind.
